The sword fights take place on the south side of the bridge, which is currently open to eastbound bicyclists only. Westbound bicyclists and all pedestrian traffic must use the north side of the bridge.

An establishing shot from 'Deadly Medicine' (re-used in 1x13 & 4x08) shows the east end of the bridge.

MacLeod's "island" is actually just a cabin next to a small run-off pond at the base of the Mystery Peak Express ski lift. The other side of the cabin was used as Hoskins' ranch house. It rained A LOT the day we were up in the mountains, so the photos aren't the greatest. (Andy got a MUCH better photo of the cabin the previous year!)
