BETTY - I never stopped missing them.

MacLEOD - [a touch wistful] I know what you mean. Glencoe . . . Loch Shiel . . . the beach at Arisaig . . .

BETTY - [pleased] A Highlander yourself? When did you leave?

MacLEOD - A very long time ago.

BETTY - [smiles] It'll seem longer when you're my age.
 

 
GALLEN - [nods at the graves and leers] Investing in real estate, MacLeod?

MacLEOD - Only for you, Gallen.
 

[Richie and MacLeod are in the middle of a conversation.]

MacLEOD - There was no computer in his apartment, no typewriter, not even a notebook. Whatever he was doing for Honniger, it wasn't reporting.

RICHIE - And someone's trying to take Honniger out.

MacLEOD - It has to be Gallen.

RICHIE - Why would Gallen by after Honniger?

MacLEOD - Money. Power. Revenge. Take your pick.

[The phone rings, interrupting them. MacLeod grabs it.]

MacLEOD - [into phone] Hello? [beat] I'll meet you there. No, it's no trouble . . . [He hangs up the phone and turns back to Richie.] That was Betty Bannen. She wants to see me.

RICHIE - What are you going to tell her?

MacLEOD - Nothing. I'm just going to listen.
 

 
[Suzanne moves a picture and starts to open a wall safe.]

GALLEN - Maybe after a few months I could come back and . . .

[She reaches into the safe and removes a gun, not the money. She turns, pointing it at him. She tears her dress with her free hand.]

SUZANNE - You broke in here and tried to rape and rob me.
 

 
MacLEOD - Give me a minute. [beat] Have we been here before?

JOHNSON - You won't be here again. [beat] Miss Honniger said to get rid of you. She didn't much care how.

MacLEOD - So this is nothing personal.

JOHNSON - Nothing at all.
 

 
RICHIE - Great. We're looking for something, but we don't know what it is?
